Understanding Media Preservation
Preserving old movies and tapes is a wonderful thing, but it does have its limitations.
Please be aware of the following:
- We cannot improve the quality of the original recording. For Example, if you didn't initially focus the camera, it would still be blurry after the preservation is complete.
- We cannot transfer copyrighted material – only home movies and personal recordings, please!
- Sometimes old tapes break because of age, the way they have been stored over the years, and other often uncontrollable factors. We will do our best to keep your movies safe, but it is essential to state that sometimes there are things that happen that are out of our control.
- There is no job too big or too small! At Lifetime Media we will take one tape or all your family memories at once!
